SeaStar Solutions is changing its name to Dometic Marine and is now integrated into the Dometic Group. The announcement was made yesterday at the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference.
All SeaStar Solutions premises across North America are now Dometic Marine, and all employees will be identified as Dometic. It is now part of the Dometic Group structure, and all assets have started to move over to the Dometic Group website.
Dometic has a rebranded booth at IBEX featuring products from Dometic, legacy SeaStar Solutions and Dometic Blinds as one family.
“Since the acquisition of SeaStar Solutions in November 2017, SeaStar Solutions has shown steady growth, and its innovative products have been supporting our business in the leisure marine segment,” said Dometic Group president Peter Kjellberg in a statement. “Together, as Dometic Marine, we continue to serve our customers with the best solutions in the industry.”
“With 76 years of history and dedication to command and control for boaters, SeaStar Solutions has accumulated industry leading technologies and knowledge in the market,” said Dometic Marine Americas president Eric Fetchko. “With the new name, Dometic Marine, we will continue this journey and intend to expand our business even further.”
In other news, Dometic unveiled a variety of new products at IBEX, including an electric remote mount steering actuator for outboards; the VARCX/X30 variable capacity cooling and diesel-fired heater system; a smart trim tab system for sterndrive and outboard boats; and a global marine air conditioning system that eliminates the need for voltage-regulating devices, allowing boaters to plug into shore power anywhere in the world.
