Freedom Boat Club announced plans to open its first Middle East location, at Dubai Harbour, in the fall. The site will offer members access to such Brunswick boat brands as Sea Ray and Boston Whaler, powered by Mercury engines.
“Expanding into Dubai marks a major milestone for Freedom Boat Club as we continue to bring our world-class boating experience to new global markets,” Arturo Gutierrez, general manager, EMEA region, said in a statement. “Dubai is a natural fit for Freedom. Its dynamic coastline, growing community, and passion for luxury and lifestyle make it an ideal location for our first club in the Middle East.”
The Dubai franchise will be owned and operated by Baker Almasabey, a Saudi-born entrepreneur and former Freedom Boat Club member in Canada. Almasabey has fleet-management experience from his logistics business in North America.
The statement said that plans are to expand to three locations in the city by the end of 2026.
