Continuing to build on training and education, the ABYC Foundation yesterday announced it will present its third Educator Training Conference in a virtual format July 21-22.
The program is geared toward high school and post-secondary educators who teach or are considering teaching marine service technology.
“The Educator Training Conference brings together the people training our future marine technicians and those who are actively hiring,” ABYC Foundation executive director Margaret Podlich said in a statement. “This is an opportunity for educators to hear what the marine industry needs while also picking up some new techniques and tools that support their efforts to maintain their school programs.”
Areas of coverage include professional development, training aids and products, as well as where to find resources to teach marine service technology, information on the state of the industry, and updates on the foundation’s recently launched Marine Trades Accreditation Program.
Registration opens March 15, with agenda details to follow. Click here for more about the Educator Training Conference and the Marine Trades Accreditation Program.
