The American Boat & Yacht Council this week hosted an Educator Forum, virtually gathering 25 educators, administrators and marine service program leaders from across the United States. The event provided a platform to share strategies to train the next generation of service technicians. Representatives from all major outboard manufacturers participated.

“These manufacturers’ commitment to not only investing in new, safer products but also in education is truly incredible,” David Broadbent, ABYC senior director of business development, said in a statement. “Their investment in developing more accessible training for schools and commitment to partnering with schools will undoubtedly have a profound impact on the technician shortage.”

The next Educator Forum is scheduled in a hybrid format. Click here for more information, or contact Sarah Devlin at [email protected].
