The ABYC Foundation and the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference will host a Student Career Day Oct. 3. The event will encourage more than 90 students from marine technical schools in Florida to pursue careers in the boating industry.
“Building on the success of last year’s event, we’re thrilled to have even more schools participating this year,” accreditation director Sarah Devlin said in a statement. “This is a fantastic opportunity to ignite excitement in the next generation of marine service technicians.”
The event begins at 8:30 a.m. on the Main Stage with a special session titled “Who is Training Our Workforce?” The day includes visiting the exhibit hall, hands-on demos, boat rides and other seminars.
IBEX runs Oct. 1-3 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Fla.
