The American Boat and Yacht Council hired Sarah Devlin as content director, the organization announced.

In the newly created position, Devlin will use her education and communication experience to share content and resources with the industry.

“We are so excited to have Sarah join the ABYC team and she has already hit the ground running,” said Shannon Aronson, ABYC marketing and public relations director. “Her experience, marine industry knowledge and connections are a huge asset to help us create and distribute engaging content.”

Devlin will support event operations, including the Educator Training Conference, July 20-22, and ABYC’s education seminars at the International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition and Conference, Sept. 27-30. She will also coordinate ABYC’s free webinar series, manage social media and produce video content.

Devlin most recently was communications director for The Landing School in Arundel, Maine.

She was an editor at Professional BoatBuilder magazine, and ran seminar programs for the International Marina and Boatyard Conference and the Commercial Marine Expo.

“Working in the industry for the past 20-plus years, I have always respected ABYC’s mission,” Devlin said. “I am eager to get back to my roots, working with educational content.”
