The American Boat & Yacht Council yesterday announced that it is accepting nominations for this year’s Outstanding Technician Awards. Now in its fifth year, the awards recognize service professionals who excel in customer service, technical training and industry involvement.
The program is part of International Marine Service Technician Week, which this year runs April 20-24 and recognizes techs and their role in keeping boats safe, reliable and ready for use.
“So many marine technicians go above and beyond, and a nomination for this award is a great way to show you see and appreciate that excellence,” Jaclyn Vincenti, ABYC marketing coordinator and staff lead for Marine Service Technician Week, said in a statement. “Whether you’re a supervisor, peer or customer, taking a moment to recognize your favorite technician is a powerful way to thank them for the work they do to keep us safe on the water.”
Nominations will be accepted through March 23 and can be submitted here.
