The American Boat & Yacht Council has opened registration for its annual Standards Week, which is scheduled for Jan. 7-11 in Annapolis, Md. The annual meeting is scheduled for the evening of Jan. 8 and will mark the council’s 70th anniversary.

Capt. Amy Beach, director of inspections and compliance for the Coast Guard, will be the guest speaker at the annual meeting.

“As we navigate the influx of new technologies, it’s crucial for our standards to keep pace,” ABYC technical director Brian Goodwin said in a statement. “We invite the industry to Annapolis, where ABYC’s headquarters is located, to contribute and witness this evolution firsthand. Collective input is vital.”

Standards Week includes Project Technical Committee meetings to discuss updates to Supplement 64 of the Standards and Technical Information Reports for Small Craft, set for publication in July 2024.
