The American Boat & Yacht Council is asking for proposals and presenters for its annual Marine Law Symposium. The hybrid, in-person/virtual event, scheduled for Feb. 29, 2024, is designed to prepare participants to deal with the legal aspects of recreational boating and provide continuing education and legal training to industry professionals.
ABYC is looking for professionals to join the symposium in such areas as:
• insurance
• accident investigation
• case studies for surveyors
• liability
• expert-witness training
• new-boater data and law enforcement
• use of ABYC standards to prove or disprove case elements
• cases utilizing photo and video evidence presentation
