Bill Sisson, editor-in-chief of Soundings Trade Only, has been promoted to vice president and editorial director of the Active Interest Media Marine Group, and Jeanne Craig has been named deputy editor of the group’s Power & Motoryacht magazine.

Sisson is also the editor-in-chief of Anglers Journal and the former editor of Soundings magazine.

“Bill really set himself apart with his development and implementation of Anglers Journal,” said Gary DeSanctis, group publisher and general manager of the AIM Marine Group. “In his new capacity Bill will be working directly with all editors to help ensure we produce, both in print and digitally, the best products possible.”

Craig previously was features editor of Boating magazine and executive editor of MotorBoating magazine. She has served as Power & Motoryacht’s copy editor for the last year.

“Jeanne’s combination of work ethic, positive personality and reputation in the industry make her the perfect addition to the team,” said Dan Harding, editor-in-chief of Power & Motoryacht. “I’m very optimistic about the direction our brand is heading.”

AIM also announced it hired Eric Dallin as vice president of digital business development.

“Eric will be working with the editors and publishers to access, develop and implement unique opportunities for our customers,” DeSanctis said. “His vast experience is sure to help us make great strides in the coming year.”

Dallin is a marine industry marketing expert. He is the founder of Saltwater Videos, a production company, and Saltwater Strategy, a marketing company that specializes in multimedia content production and creative advertising services.

As a designer and digital artist, Dallin has entertained thousands of marine event participants throughout the United States, the Bahamas and Central and South America. His experience has helped him develop a unique understanding of the boating industry.

AIM also said Julie Zub has been promoted to vice president of marketing and events. DeSanctis said Zub “has done such an amazing job this past year on producing stellar events.”

Zub’s first job was with Show Management, where she spent five years as marketing, advertising and special events coordinator. She also worked for five years at Camper and Nicholsons as U.S. marketing manager.

Finally, William S. Smith IV has been promoted to associate publisher of Yachts International magazine.

“William has done a great job expanding business in the past year,” DeSanctis said. “I feel good about the direction of the magazine and the market, and I’m confident William will continue to make great strides expanding the brand.”
