Milford, N.H.-based Airmar Technology Corp., a maker of ultrasonic transducers and chirp technology leader, has hired Diana Sufariu as director of engineering.

Sufariu will lead Airmar’s engineering team in the development and planning of new products. She joins Airmar with more than 20 years of product development and manufacturing experience in industrial sensors.

Diana brings invaluable expertise to Airmar, as shown by her long record of exceptional development of sensor-based products.”

Previously, she was at Rockwell Automation, where she obtained several patents for her sensor designs and manufacturing methods.

In the role of director of engineering, Sufariu will ensure that Airmars global team of engineers delivers advanced new products and technology for the recreational marine, commercial fishing, meteorology, ocean survey, process control, proximity sensing and related markets.
