Paint and coatings manufacturer AkzoNobel announced that it opened a Yacht Paint Application Center in Hamburg, Germany, giving the region direct access to the company’s technical expertise, product education and hands-on training.
The facility is the latest addition to a large global network, and offers access to applicators, distributors, designers, contractors and other professionals across the marine sector.
According to a press release, the goal is to help professionals keep current with regulations and deliver consistent results. AkzoNobel’s paint application programs cover prep, priming, filling, topcoat, maintenance and repair across its Awlgrip and International brands. The facility is also aimed at addressing the training issues and skill gaps that boatbuilders, refit yards and distributors experience.
The Hamburg Yacht Paint Application Center joins locations in North America, the Netherlands, the U.K. and Australia.
