America’s Boating Channel, the Coast Guard-funded safety and education service produced by the U.S. Power Squadrons, is featuring the Water Sports Foundation boating-safety documentary Always Ready on its smart TV app and online spaces.
A Coast Guard grant recipient, the non-profit WSF has produced more than 200 video public service announcements about boating safety.
The documentary focuses on Air Station Corpus Christi and Station Port Aransas in South Texas, and documents the training, including simulated rescues and recreated missions, the Coast Guard personnel go through.
“We are thrilled to feature the WSF’s Always Ready … on our smart TV and online services,” Kathy Strachan, vice president of smart TV with America’s Boating Channel, said in a statement. “Viewers can now also tune in to the WSF’s wide-ranging videos on topics including life jackets, boating under the influence, engine cut-off switches, boating safety for paddle sports, sailing and personal watercraft, as well as boating safety testimonials from marine industry personalities.”
Always Ready can be viewed through Oct. 21 on America’s Boating Channel’s smart TV app, on Roku and Fire TV, on AmericasBoatingChannel.com, and on the ABC YouTube channel. It will also be on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social networks.
