The Association of Marina Industries announced the guest speakers for its annual conference, which is scheduled for Jan. 30 to Feb. 1 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The conference is geared toward marina and yard owners, operators and managers, as well as dockmasters, harbormasters, boatbuilders and repair facilities.

The association said the keynote speaker for the first day is Bill Benjamin, partner at the Institute for Health and Human Potential. In a statement, AMI said Benjamin “will dive into specific tools to own the culture on your team in the critical moments, the ‘Last 8%’ that creates culture. The Last 8% are those tougher conversations and decisions that many people struggle with and avoid.”

The keynote for the second day will be delivered by retired 22-year New York State Police officer Capt. David Atkins. His address is titled, “No Excuses: Break Through Fear and Adversity to Play a Bigger Game in Business and Life.”
