Anura, a New Zealand-based manufacturer of amphibious systems for boats, and application developer Sea-It have partnered on a system called Bluewater4x4, which allows potential buyers to visualize a wheel setup on a new boat.

“Adding amphibious capabilities to boats is an obvious next step in vessel design,” Anura manager Darren Leybourne said in a statement.

The Anura S25 system is being installed on Bluewater 2550 center console. It can be fitted to a hull without changes to the boat’s mold. The hydraulic amphibious system is constructed of marine-grade components and can power a boat at speeds up to 5.5 mph.

“With our advanced visualization software, customers can see their boats come alive during the design process,” Bryan Moseley, owner and founder of Sea-It, said in the statement. “There’s nothing quite like seeing landing gear added to your vessel with the click of a button.”
