The Annapolis Powerboat Show announced that this year’s edition will be the biggest yet, with new space at Annapolis City Dock creating accommodations for more boats and exhibitors. This year’s show is expected to feature more than 300 exhibitors and 400 boats.
“The City of Annapolis is undergoing a transformative redevelopment of its historic City Dock, the waterfront home of the Annapolis Boat Shows,” a show statement said. “This multiphase project aims to enhance resiliency against sea level rise, create a more vibrant public space, and preserve the area’s maritime heritage. … While construction will be halted for the duration of the show, the layout still had to be thoughtfully adjusted to accommodate the project. The additional space is a welcome consequence.”
New this year to the show:
• Yard Patrol Craft: The U.S. Naval Academy will bringing a 108-foot Yard Patrol Craft to the show as part of the Navy’s 250th Anniversary celebration.
• Boat Show Brew: Annapolis Boat Shows partnered with Pherm Brewing to create Boat Show Brew, a custom-brewed pilsner.
Organizers added that the Monterey Elite 25 OB will make its world premiere and that the Lancia Aprea 52 will make its U.S. premiere. Also, for the first time, the Demo Dock will include an electric personal watercraft, the Taiga Orca.
The show is scheduled for Oct. 2-5 in Annapolis, Md.
