The International Council of Marine Industry Associations welcomed Jachthaven Portus Ganda, a marina in Ghent, Belgium, as a member of the ICOMIA Marinas Group.
The marina opened in 2005 and is located at the historic confluence of the Scheldt with the Leie, close to the city center.
“It is thanks to Steven Desloovere, the general manager of the Vlaamse Jachthaven Nieuwpoort, that we were introduced to ICOMIA and learned about the interesting activities of this international network,” said Rudy Van der Ween from the City of Ghent Tourism Office, according to a statement.
“By becoming a member, we want to strengthen the Flemish representation in ICOMIA and share experiences and best practice information with the members of other nationalities,” said Van der Ween.
