Encore Boat Builders, which does business as Bentley Pontoon, was sold to Bentley Acquisition LLC and will continue to build boats under the Bentley Pontoon brand.
Bentley Acquisition LLC is owned by Dennis Marcott and Mike Scott and they say the operation will be run as a family business.
The company said “both men are excited about the acquisition and intend to continue to build quality boats in the same facility with the same personnel. The main thrust of the new business will be to increase production to meet current dealer demand and focus on quality, customer service, product development and dealer relationships.”
Ryan Marcott, who has run other manufacturing companies, will be president of Bentley Pontoon and be responsible for daily operations.
“The new owners would like to thank Steve Deese, who has done a remarkable job creating and building the Bentley brand,” the company said.
