Metstrade organizers have opened the entry period for this year’s Boat Builder Awards. The awards will be presented Nov. 20 during Metstrade at the National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam.
Metstrade is scheduled for Nov. 19-21 at RAI Amsterdam.
“A decade ago, IBI and Metstrade recognized an opportunity to spotlight industry pioneers,” show director Niels Klarenbeek said in a statement. “The awards have become a cornerstone of yacht building, showcasing remarkable winners.”
Awards will be presented in 11 categories with three primary themes: innovation, environment and people. The Eco Boat of the Year will be split between boats smaller than 32 feet, 10 inches, and those that are larger. A Retail Marketing category returns, and the People and Skills Development award has been expanded to include one-off success with individuals and major industry training schemes and projects.
There is no charge to enter, and nominations can be made until Sept. 27.
