COURTESY BOSTON MARINEBoston Marine Services, an affiliate of Ocean Havens, announced this week its acquisition of Boston Boatworks out of bankruptcy. The acquisition includes Boston Boatworks’ 35,000-square-foot facility in Charlestown, Mass., and a 75-ton travel lift.
“We are thrilled to be able to retain so many of their experienced employees to continue to service vessels on Boston Harbor for years to come,” Chuck Lagasse, principal of Ocean Havens, said in a statement.
Boston Marine Services intends to continue working with training programs at Bunker Hill Community College to further develop a skilled workforce with area talent, the statement added.
Ocean Havens operates marinas in Boston, Provincetown, Mass., and Portland, Maine, including Charlestown Marina, Boston Yacht Haven, Boston Harbor Shipyard and Marina, Fan Pier Marina, India Wharf Marina, Provincetown Marina and Fore Points Marina.
