Brunswick Corp. announced today that David Foulkes was elected chairman of the board, effective March 1. Foulkes will hold this position in addition to his role as CEO.
Non-executive board chair Nancy E. Cooper will remain on the Brunswick board, and board member David E. Everitt will assume the role of lead independent director.
“The board concluded that combining the board chair and CEO role at this point in time is in the best interests of the company to drive execution of our strategic plan, and we are pleased to appoint Dave as Brunswick’s chairman,” Cooper said in a statement.
Foulkes was appointed CEO and a member of the Brunswick board in January 2019. He previously served as president of consumer solutions and chief technology officer. Foulkes joined Brunswick in 2007.
