Boating Writers International is now accepting submissions for its Annual Writing Contest, recognizing boating journalism, photography and videography.
Entries are being accepted through Dec. 31 in 15 categories, which translates to $15,000 available in prize awards.
This year’s categories include those recently added or revised: “Boating Lifestyles,” “Boat Projects, Renovations & Retrofits,” “Boating Videos,” and “Boating Photography.” Entries in all categories are welcome, from digital-only — including blogs and on-line videos — or traditional print sources, according to organizers.
Now in its 27th year, the BWI Annual Writing Contest presents cash awards to first- ($500), second- ($300) and third-place ($200) scorers in each category.
Presentation of awards will be made at the Miami International Boat Show during the BWI Annual Meeting in February 2020.
