Captains For Clean Water has added Captain C.A. Richardson to the organization’s board of directors. The host of Flats Class TV, Richardson is a native Floridian known for his conservation efforts and has been a supporter of CFCW since its founding.

“C.A. has been a leader in conservation and a devoted advocate for CFCW’s efforts since the very beginning,” CFCW executive director Capt. Daniel Andrews said in a statement. “We’re excited to bring him onto the board, where he can continue to help us further our mission by educating and inspiring more passionate outdoorsmen and women to get involved in the fight for clean water.”

Richardson has been a professional guide for more than 25 years and has used his fishing and television platforms to support CFCW’s mission.

“I think it’s my hallmark responsibility at this point in my career to do everything I can to support the fight for clean water,” Richardson said in the statement. “I’ve spent a lifetime fishing Florida’s waters — from decades guiding on Tampa Bay to filming all the iconic waterways on Flats Class TV, to now living on the Nature Coast — and there’s nowhere else like this.”

Richardson has spoken at several press conferences this year on behalf of CFCW and guides. He testified at a senate committee hearing during a critical moment in the fight against a Florida bill that threatened to undo years of Everglades restoration progress.
