Cox Marine has entered an OEM partnership to supply its CXO3000 diesel outboard to Finnish builder XO Boats.
Designed and built in Finland, XO Boats Explr series has an aluminum deep-V hull.
“We are always excited to see customers using and enjoying the benefits of our CXO300, but the alignment with XO Boats is extraordinary because of the similarities in the brand’s foundations and ambitions,” Cox EMEA regional director Harry Heasman said in a statement.
Added XO CEO Erkki Talvela: “At XO, we are no stranger to innovative design solutions that enhance our customers’ experience. Offering the CXO300 diesel outboard widens the potential market for XO, as diesel fuel is more widely available in certain areas.”
The engine will be available on the 28-foot Explr 9, which rides an aluminum deep-vee hull. The CXO300 will be rigged by XO, and Sweden-based distributor Diesel Power will provide support.
