The Marine Retailers Association of the Americas announced that registration for the Dealer Week Conference & Expo is open. The event is scheduled for Dec. 4-7 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Fla.
“We know that the industry has transitioned into one highlighted by surplus inventory levels and economic uncertainty,” Liz Walz, MRAA vice president of education, said in a statement. “Consumers have regained the power of negotiation and price objection, and have a plethora of choices when purchasing boats. Every department of the dealership is feeling the added pressure and stress to turn more boats and generate profits, even with a growing list of challenges to overcome.”
The theme of this year’s conference is “Recalibrate: Learn. Adapt. Transform.” Dealer Week will include educational programs, training, and access to manufacturers, suppliers and service providers in the Expo Hall.
“It’s imperative for dealers to adapt their business to stay ahead of the curve, to forecast more clearly and evolved to match the marketplace so they can keep their customers boating,” Walz said. “The … ‘Recalibrate’ theme reinforces the transformative growth learning provides when you use it to revise yourself and your business.”
