The Marine Retailers Association of the Americas said that registrations for Dealer Week passed 100 during the opening week of registration. MRAA said in a statement that dealers from 19 states and Canada have signed up for the event, scheduled for Dec. 8-11 at the Tampa Bay Convention Center in Florida.
The 100th registrant was Bob Bense, president and CEO of Superior Boat Repair and Sales of Rancho Cordova, Calif. “We signed up for the new Dealer Week because the MRAA team continues to deliver information and resources that help us to prosper and grow as a marine dealer,” Bense said in an email to MRAA.
Bense and his wife, Kathy, also created a list of 50 reasons they love MRAA events. The list ranged from “meeting other husband-and-wife dealership owners” to “learning how to ride the wave through the good years and how to hold on to what we have created, during the bad.”
Matt Gruhn, MRAA president, said the Benses’ list “underscores that this event delivers real-world, meaningful impact” for business owners. “It’s quite humbling for our team to witness this sincere outreach, and it only inspires us to meet and exceed all those expectations — and add in a few surprises as well,” Gruhn said in the statement.
Dealer Week strategic partners include the Boats Group, Brunswick Dealer Advantage, CDK Global, Correct Craft, Global Marine Insurance Agency, Smoker Craft, Volvo Penta and Wells Fargo CDF.
