Dutch stabilization system manufacturer DMS Holland named Sietse van der Zee managing director. Van der Zee succeeds Theo Hoen, who stepped down Dec. 31.

“I feel like I am very much boarding a moving train,” van der Zee said in a statement. “Now it’s a matter of seeing how we can help the train build up even more speed and maintain our premium quality without being blindsided by profits or growth. This will require a broad overview, careful control, good market knowledge and sound judgement.”

Van der Zee was a captain in the Dutch merchant fleet and has more than 20 years of boatbuilding experience, including stints at Mulder, Verolme, Damen and Feadship.
