Wireless remote control manufacturer Dockmate this week announced a collaboration with Molabo, an innovator in low-voltage, electric propulsion systems.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Molabo to give even greater functionality and flexibility to customers,” Dockmate president Dirk Illegems said in a statement. “We know that boaters who embrace the high-powered, safe and environmentally friendly Molabo electric propulsion will appreciate the added capabilities of Dockmate products, giving captains proportional control of the Molabo propulsion system from anywhere on the vessel.”

Malabo said its touch-safe, high-performance drives do not require high-voltage safety measures, even at outputs of 50 kW.

“Dockmate is plug-and-play compatible with our controllers and throttles, making it the perfect complement,” Malabo managing director Adrian Patzak said in the statement. “It offers owners unprecedented control that will make low-speed maneuvering so intuitive.”
