Nixon Marine Global was appointed distributor for Italy-based Douglas Marine in North America. All the accessory manufacturer’s products will ship from the Nixon facility in Windham, Maine.
Based in Milan, Douglas Marine has has also reach distribution agreements with EVAL in Greece and ALLPA in Holland. The company produces mooring shock absorbers, boarding ladders and other equipment. Douglas has 12 patents and most of its components are made in-house.
“We have quality products and a high brand reputation in Europe. Our goal is now to enhance this heritage together with the value of ‘designed and made in Italy’ overseas,” Paolo Ramoino, director of Douglas Marine, said in a statement.
