Phoenix-based E3 Displays announced executive appointments and a renewed focus on the marine industry following its acquisition by Ubiqconn Technology.

Tim Tsai was appointed chief executive officer and will oversee the company’s strategic direction. Chuck Rahrig, co-founder and former president of E3 Displays, will serve as chief operating officer, handling day-to-day operations.

“I am excited to take the reins at E3 Displays as we set out to capitalize on countless opportunities that are currently in the works,” Tsai said in a statement.

Added Rahrig: “I am really looking forward to meeting the challenges of my new capacity as COO of E3 Displays, particularly to focusing my attention on servicing our existing customers and building new partnerships.”

The statement said that Ubiqconn is a manufacturer of computing solutions, specializing in industrial and mobile platforms for transportation, logistics, defense and other applications. E3 is a provider of high-performance display solutions with expertise in optical bonding, touch-screen integration and custom display enhancements serving marine, defense, medical and other industries.
