“ABC comes at a pivotal time for our industry and our government,” NMMA said in a statement. “With the 2024 presidential election on the horizon, Congress is busier than ever. It is critical we ensure our elected members of congress and members of the administration put our issues at the top of their agenda.”
Meetings with government officials will focus on the industry’s top policy priorities, including access, infrastructure, tariffs and sustainability, as well as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s speed rule intended to protect North Atlantic right whales.
