The Eastport Yacht Club in Annapolis, Md., and its philanthropic arm, the EYC Foundation, are awarding scholarships exceeding $20,000 to a group of students to help facilitate their pursuit of education in the marine and maritime industries.
Each student will receive $1,000 per semester, and the scholarships are contingent on maintaining academic excellence and dedication to the marine and maritime industries.
“We are thrilled to provide support to these students as they embark on their educational journeys,” Becky Ranzenbach, chair of the EYC Foundation, said in a statement.
For the 2023-24 academic year, six students were selected to receive scholarships:

• Luke Carter, Annapolis, Md., will pursue marine science at the University of Delaware.
