The European Boating Industry and the International Council of Marine Industry Associations have created a partnership aimed at advancing the interests of the European and global boating industries.

The associations will collaborate on advocacy, with EBI representing the industry in the European Union and ICOMIA taking the lead at the global level. The two will provide updates on regulatory developments, as well as technical standards and advocacy activities.

“We are excited to renew once again this partnership with our partners ICOMIA, and place it on an even higher level,” Robert Marx, president of EBI, said in a statement. “This represents a significant step forward in our efforts to strengthen the entire recreational boating industry.”

Added Darren Vaux, president of ICOMIA: “We are delighted to be renewing and refreshing this strategic partnership between ICOMIA and EBI. As the global voice of the recreational industry, it is of vital importance that we collaborate closely with our European partners. Our members look to ICOMIA to inform and influence on all matters of regulatory developments in order to create the optimal conditions for growth.”
