Correct Craft announced this week that employees spent a day serving at the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home in honor of former company president Ralph Meloon. It was the second consecutive year that Correct Craft celebrated Meloon’s legacy.
“We have an amazing team at Correct Craft [that] is continually looking for opportunities to serve,” Bill Yeargin, Correct Craft CEO, said in a statement. “I am proud to be part of such a great group. To serve the kids at the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home and honor Ralph Meloon’s legacy was a double honor for our team.”
Since 1908, the home has provided care in a family-style home for children who have been victimized by abuse, neglect or family trauma. The children are provided with education, counseling, recreation and ministry opportunities. Nearly 30 Correct Craft employees assisted the kids in many ways including indoor painting, building planter boxes for the garden and assisting with electrical work.
Every year, Correct Craft team members complete a service project in honor of Meloon. He held many positions at the company including president, executive vice president, treasurer and chairman of the board.
