The submission period for this year’s EPIC Awards closes Aug. 21 at 11:59 p.m.

Presented by the Soundings Trade Only Group, the awards program — formerly the Most Innovative Marine Company Awards — recognizes companies, rather than individual products or executives, that are driving the marine industry forward through exceptional, purposeful, innovative and compassionate leadership.

“Real innovation isn’t one breakthrough product or one bold leader,” Michele Goldsmith, vice president and general manager of the Soundings Trade Only Group, said in a press release. “It’s a million small decisions a company makes.”

Entries are judged on four criteria: strength of initiatives, impact on the company, impact on the broader industry and longevity. Companies can compete across seven categories: Development and Technology, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Sustainability, Workforce and Culture, Altruism and Social Impact, Start-Ups, and Training.

Achievements must have occurred between Aug. 16, 2025, and Aug. 21, 2026.

This year’s judging panel includes industry veterans Larry Russo, former president and CEO of Russo Marine, and Steve Tilders, a five-decade industry leader with ties to BoatLIFE and Xylem.

Winners will be announced Oct. 7 at the Marine Ideas Exchange during the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference, which is scheduled for Oct. 6-8 in Tampa, Fla.
