Fishhound.com said 56 new companies signed on as advertising partners in August and all 20 partner companies with expiring contracts chose to renew.

The large number of companies signing on and renewing with Fishhound, a membership-based angling community, is a testament to the effectiveness of the site in connecting with target customers, Fishhound vice president Rick Patri said in a statement.

“A 100 percent renewal rate of 20 expiring contracts is proof that our platform works,” Patri said. “Companies like Humminbird, Mustad Hooks, Bruiser Baits and Gamma wouldn’t renew if we didn’t deliver.”

“Fishhound.com provides us with an opportunity to reach our target demographic, increase our Facebook fan count and generate word-of-mouth marketing like no other advertising platform can,” Castaway Rods sales and marketing vice president Michael McDevitt said in a statement. “No banner placement or magazine ad offered within our industry can accomplish what Fishhound does for us.”

“Nothing beats having 50,000 regular guys telling their buddies that your product works,” Chris Fickey of Bruiser Baits said in a statement. “There’s a direct correlation between Fishhound’s promotion of our brand and revenue generation.”
