The International Yacht Brokers Association launched Yachtr, a comprehensive online database of yachts and boats for sale, during a press conference yesterday at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Powered by Yachtbroker.org, Yachtr gives brokers the ability to list yachts and provides potential buyers a platform to browse those that are available worldwide. Users can search verified listings by category, including motoryachts, cruisers, fishing boats and sailboats, and also by broker or builder.
“Yachtr is taking control from private enterprise solutions and putting it back in the hands of the community,” IYBA CEO Paul Flannery said in a statement. “We have heard concerns from our members, and we believe that Yachtr addresses and solves the challenges that current listing sites present. We want to provide a platform that is accessible to all, and inherently fair in its approach to displaying listings.
Yachtr currently features more than 14,000 listings from 285 brokerages.
