The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show gets underway today at seven locations. Now in its 66th year, the show is owned by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida and produced by Informa Markets.

Show locations are Bahia Mar Yachting Center, Las Olas Marina, Hall of Fame Marina, SuperYacht Village at Pier Sixty-Six South, Pier Sixty-Six Marina, Broward County Convention Center and the 17th Street Yacht Basin at Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina.

According to show organizers, FLIBS generates $1.79 billion in state economic output through show purchases and expenditures. Additionally, FLIBS attracts more than 100,000 visitors, with 49% from outside Florida.

Soundings Trade Only is in Fort Lauderdale to report on the first two days of the show, which runs through Nov. 2.
