The Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County is holding the 21st annual Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade and 16th annual “On the Water” Toys for Tots Drive at 6 p.m. on Dec. 5.
The parade will stage and begin at the north end of the Lake Worth Lagoon in North Palm Beach and proceed north on the Intracoastal Waterway to the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse.
Tens of thousands of spectators are expected to watch decorated vessels on the Intracoastal Waterway beneath a backdrop of traveling fireworks.
There will be extended fireworks at Jupiter’s Riverwalk Events Plaza and Harbourside Place and a grand finale at the lighthouse, courtesy of Square Grouper Tiki Bar and U-Tiki.
The Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade benefits the Marine Reserves’ Toys for Tots program.
Last year, the Palm Beach county trade group collected nearly 10,000 toys for needy children. The event collects more toys for Toys for Tots than any other single event in Palm Beach County and is a top collector in the nation.
