Commercial RIB builder Fluid Marine yesterday announced that it appointed Tony Van Meter executive vice president. Van Meter has more than 30 years of experience in the marine industry, including serving in the Coast Guard and as a marine enforcement officer, as well as leadership positions in manufacturing and sales.
“Tony brings a rare combination of operational background and commercial leadership,” Carl Herndon, president of Fluid Marine, said in a statement. “His firsthand understanding of professional operators, combined with decades of experience in the marine industry, makes him a strong addition to our leadership team.”
Van Meter will focus on strategic growth initiatives, business development, customer engagement and alignment across Fluid Marine’s patrol, search-and-rescue and commercial RIB programs.
“Fluid Marine has earned a strong reputation for building rugged, purpose-driven vessels that serve professional operators every day,” he said in the statement. “I’m excited to join the team and work closely with customers, partners and internal teams as the company continues to build momentum.”
