William “Bill” Hathaway Farnham Jr., the former president and CEO of IMTRA Corp., died on Nov. 16 at the age of 87.

Farnham was a member of the class of 1954 at Milton Academy and graduated from Harvard University in 1958. He also spent four years in the United States Navy. Farnham started his professional career at the Digital Equipment Company before leaving for IMTRA, where he worked for 28 years, according to a statement.

Farnham and his wife of 63 years, June, raised three sons: Charles, Robert and Edward. They also had grandchildren: William, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Henry, Audrey, Stewart and Meghan.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lower Cape Outreach Council, Gifts of Hope — lcoutreach.org in Farnham’s honor.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
