The Genoa International Boat Show this year will feature more than 1,000 boats, including 215 new models, and exhibitors from 45 countries across five continents, along with a 4% increase in the in-water display area, organizer Confindustria Nautica said in a press release.

“The figures for this year’s edition have a significance that goes beyond mere numbers because the Genoa International Boat Show is a direct reflection of the market and the industry it represents,” Piero Formenti, president of Confindustria Nautica, in the release.

He noted that the Italian marine industry has reached a turnover of €8.6 billion, generates more than 13 billion in added value and employs nearly 170,000 people, with roughly 90% of production destined for foreign markets.

Larger models are driving much of the show’s growth. Occupancy of the Yacht & Superyacht dock has risen, and the average size of the three largest boats in each segment increased 14.1% compared with 2025. The multihull sector also grew, with a 28% increase in the number of units on display. To showcase the high-end segment, the show is debuting “Living Made in Italy,” a new area developed with the Italian Trade Agency and dedicated to models larger than 24 meters.

A central new feature is a Blue Arena inside the Palasport Pavilion, created through an investment by Confindustria Nautica and the Italian Trade Agency. The free-access space is aimed at drawing new and younger audiences to boating and is organized into areas including Start Boating, Start-Ups & Innovation, Training and Boating Careers, World Sailing, and Maritime Military Institutions.

The Genoa show runs Oct. 1-6 in Genoa, Italy.
