Gillen Yacht Services of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., recently announced that it selected Robert McCann to run its newest location, Safe Harbor Lauderdale Marine Center, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
McCann brings more than 41 years of experience to his new role as service manager for the yard. His career includes 16 years as vice president of purchasing for BoatUS and he was the service manager for Denison Yachting. He is a licensed 100-ton captain.
“Robert McCann’s arrival is a significant step forward for Gillen Yacht Services and Lauderdale Marine Center,” Dave Gillen, CEO of Gillen Yacht Services, said in a statement. “We have full confidence that his leadership will enhance our service offerings and bolster our reputation as a leading service provider in the yachting industry.”
Established in 1993, Gillen Yacht Service provides repair and maintenance for yachts plus refits and diesel repowers for a range of vessels from sportfishermen to megayachts.
