United Arab Emirates superyacht builder Gulf Craft named Abeer Alshaali acting chief executive officer as part of a management restructuring announced by chairman Mohammed H. Alshaali.

Abeer Alshaali is a board member of the Ajman Media City Free Zone and served as a mentor in the Shaikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Leadership Program. She is the daughter of Mohammed H. Alshaali.

“It’s a huge honor for me to take such an important job in a company that has been an integral part of my life since I was young,” Abeer Alshaali said in a statement. “My objective is to maintain the progress made in recent years and capitalize on substantial growth opportunities in the industry.”
Raised and educated in the United States, Abeer Alshaali earned a bachelor’s degree from Rice University in Houston. When she joined Gulf Craft, she worked alongside her father, implementing processes to improve company structure and efficiency.
As part of the restructuring, Nizar Tagi was appointed chief commercial officer, and Paul Gray is now chief operating officer.
“The shipyard has to grow efficiently,” Mohammed Alshaali said in the statement. “Following our debut in the U.S. market in late 2019 and our aggressive development plan, we are empowering the shipyard through a team of experts who are able to solidify the new wave of yachting.”
