The International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition and Conference this morning announced this year’s lineup of educational opportunities, including presentations, panel discussions and technical seminars.
IBEX is scheduled for Oct. 7-9 at the Tampa Convention Center in Florida.
The IBEX Main Stage will feature topics ranging from managing tariffs, trade and the supply chain to workforce development and more. Speakers include NMMA senior vice president of government relations Robyn Boerstling, former NMMA president Thomas Dammrich, Freedom Boat Club president Cecil Cohn and National Marine Electronics Association president and executive director Mark Reedenauer.
“IBEX serves as a central hub for collaboration and real-time problem-solving to bring together some of the brightest minds in boatbuilding, with its educational lineup at the cornerstone,” show director Mary Velline said in a statement. “We know that our industry is facing new challenges every day, and the best way to face those challenges is by learning and working together. We are very excited to bring educational opportunities to every level of marine business through this year’s expanded schedule.”
The Technical Seminar Series — produced in collaboration with Professional BoatBuilder magazine, the American Boat & Yacht Council, the NMEA and IBEX co-owner NMMA — will address a range of topics, from fundamental skills to advanced training for the boatbuilding, design and repair sectors. The Education Conference, with a new catalog of topics ranging from brand building to defending design, will include free Tech Talk workshops all three days of the show.
Additionally, IBEX and ABYC will host a Student Career Day on Oct. 9, offering students from area technical schools industry exposure, meet-and-greet opportunities, and access to exhibit halls.
