The Innovation Awards will be presented during the industry breakfast Oct. 1. IBEX is scheduled for Oct. 1-3 in Tampa Fla.
“IBEX is where visionary ideas turn into tangible realities that improve boatbuilding and the boating lifestyle,” executive director Anne Dunbar said in a statement. “Each year we are thrilled to honor the innovators and the groundbreaking concepts and solutions that inspire progress and shape the future of boating. … We are very excited to see what the industry has put forward for consideration.”
The IBEX Innovation Awards judges are as follows:
• Ben Stein (chair), editor at Panbo.com and contributor to Soundings Trade Only, Power & Motoryacht and Passagemaker magazines.
• Tim Murphy, education director for the American Boat & Yacht Council.
• Brady Kay, executive editor of Pontoon & Deck Boat magazine.
• Charles Doane, a marine journalist since the 1980s, serving in various editorial positions at Sail magazine.
• Theresa Nicholson, a marine journalist for 25 years and former senior editor at Cruising World.
• Pim Van Hemmen, deputy editor of Soundings magazine.
• Rich Armstrong, senior editor at BoatU.S. magazine.
