The International Federation of Boat Show Organizers has launched a Boat Show Barometer. The initiative consists of two comprehensive surveys — one for show organizers and one for exhibitors — aimed at capturing perspectives across the marine events industry.

“In an era where consumer expectations are transforming rapidly, boat shows must evolve to remain relevant and valuable,” IFBSO president Niels Klarenbeek said in a statement. “This Barometer initiative represents our commitment to understanding the changing dynamics of the marine events industry and empowering organizers to create the most successful shows possible.”

The exhibitor survey asks for insights on show experiences, preferences and suggestions for improvement. Topics include selection factors, digital integration, sustainability practices and ROI evaluation methods. The organizer survey examines attendance trends, economic impacts, consumer demographics and innovative show elements.

The data collected will be presented at the IFBSO Congress, scheduled for May 26-29 in Palma, Spain.
