PHOTO COURTESY IGYIsland Global Yachting announced that it is developing IGY Savannah Harbor Marina in Georgia, in partnership with Savannah Harbor Partners. The new facility is expected to be completed in spring of 2025 and will have 100 slips and more than 1,000 linear feet to to tie up deep-draft superyachts.
The new marina will be located on Hutchinson Island, five miles from the Intracoastal Waterway, and has no air draft or depth restrictions. The development will include the EmmaJames apartments in addition to a park, restaurants and retail shops.
“We are excited to be involved in this wonderful project and a catalyst of nautical tourism in this thriving area,” IGY president Steve English said in a statement. “The opportunity to develop and operate IGY Savannah Harbor Marina means we will deliver the highest levels of service to our global clientele in this incredible destination.”
Myrick Marine Contracting is the general contractor, and MEECO-Sullivan Wahoo docks will be used in the inner basin, with Marinetek floating concrete pontoons for the superyacht dock.
