The National Marine Electronics Association and the Radio Technical Commission for Maritime Services announced joint plans for an in-person convention and expo Sept. 20-24 at Florida’s Orlando Doubletree Hotel.

The program includes technical and business seminars, installer training, product awards and a new-products expo.

“Safety of our attendees will … be top priority, and we will be following the safety model that Informa had used during their very successful production of the Palm Beach boat show last month,” Mark Reedenauer, NMEA president and executive director, said in a statement.

RTCM and NMEA will hold meetings for their respective members, as well as crossover sessions. “Having RTCM at the conference brings together the commercial and government sectors of our industry,” Reedenauer said.

“Although we continued our work through virtual meetings and made excellent progress towards our goals this past year, we very much look forward to meeting with our members at the annual conference in person again,” RTCM president Ed Wendlandt said.
