
Australian builder Maritimo has named Bill Michel as director of business development for the Americas.
“Maritimo is in a period of unprecedented growth,” Dave Northrop, Maritimo president of the Americas, said in a statement. “Having someone of Bill’s caliber and background to help lead us into the future and help manage our continued anticipated growth is a key element to our long-term initiatives.”
Michel will work in dealer and sales development, customer service and marketing. He is based in South Florida and will work with Maritimo dealers throughout the Americas.
Prior to joining Maritimo, Michel was managing director of SureShade and new-product development for Lippert. He oversaw the day-to-day operations and was responsible for the strategic planning of marine products.
He also spent nearly 24 years at Uflex USA. As vice president/managing director, Michel was responsible for Uflex USA’s domestic business, including sales, manufacturing, marketing and distribution.
